The ledgers include rare documentation of the many great artists who performed at the Hall over the past half-century as well as the many important music managers who presented events, crossing all musical genres. They also chronicle a wide range of non-musical events such as lectures, meetings, and civic rallies.Carnegie Hall began using scheduling software in the late 1990s, but the Hall’s Booking Director continued to keep the ledgers as back-up documentation. They were discontinued after the 2006-2007 season.
