From the article: "The repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment, and, until that is accomplished, the repeal of the Volstead Act, so that light wines and beers may be permitted, was demanded in resolutions adopted at a meeting last night called to organize the New York Division of the Association Against the Prohibition Amendment in Carnegie Hall. This big hall was filled from floor to top gallery, and the poeple vote [sic] "Aye" to the resolutions with a roar. There was not a contrary vote."
