Fifteen pianists, including Wilhelm Backhaus, Harold Bauer, Percy Grainger, Josef Lhevinne, and others, took place in the concert, which ultimately raised more than $10,000 for Moszkowski. Unfortunately, Moszkowski died the following March from stomach cancer, before the funds could reach him.
